On Monday 19th January. We will  be holding a two week trial. \
The Role play will be open to all children from 2 to 8 years. There will be one price for entry for this age group and all children will be able to play in both areas.\
Children younger than 2 will still be able to attend for the soft play only, unless they pay for the full access

Role Play Session

We visited on the opening of the role play area. One staff members attitude in particular towards the children was unacceptable. I witnessed a child leave the role play area with a post bag on, his Mum was explaining to him that the item needs to stay in the play area when the staff member came over & abruptly interrupted her, the staff member then turned to another staff member to roll her eyes. This is supposed to be for children so I do not understand why you have someone working there that obviously is not child friendly. There were also other issues with 2 year olds passing through the baby zone to get to each of the bigger play areas, this same staff member was shouting at them to get out! How can 2 year olds possibly understand that they’re not allowed to pass through & must walk around!

Kids really enjoyed the role play area and soft play, new set out looks great! 
Down side is it’s really cold, had to keep my coat on the whole time I was in there, kids were ok because they were running around the whole time. 

Food and drinks are really expensive and the adults food wasn’t very nice at all - on the other hand the kids lunch boxes were really good and they really enjoyed them. 

So overall, great for the kids but not so great for the adults going with them!

We visited yesterday to see the new and improved tumble town as we haven't been for a couple of years and we couldn't believe the transformation ✨️  it so needed updating and it has been! the staff are welcoming and friendly, the tables are now positioned so you can see your child on the soft play and the new role play area is brilliant 👏 it's hasn't been sold enough on the page - add more pics

My daughters are aged 6 and 3 and they had an absolutely fantastic time at Tumble Town! The role play area is brilliant, so much attention to detail and they actually spent most of the session in there! There was such a variety of things, different ‘places of work’ with costumes and so many things to play with. The soft play area is lovely too; a variety of things for all ages. The staff are always very friendly and the coffee is great too!! We’d highly recommend Tumble Town!!

We have been coming to the play centre for a year and it’s been lovely every time. It’s a perfect play centre for young ones to run off extra energy. The three stars is from the last visit we had, the blue door bathroom toilet for adults had given me slight burns from the tap. The cold water breaker had been shut off causing the hot water to be extremely hot which I hadn’t noticed until after using the sink. Had told staff about this concern and the risk it would have to children using the centre (as our session was the 1-3 and children had access to this bathroom also) and although the staff member went to check on the bathroom, there wasn’t any care towards me and the harm it had done to my hands. The place is lovely but I would recommend on making sure your children don’t use the bathroom alone.

Always love it here. My son isn’t a huge soft play fan so he doesn’t really go on it (much to my disappointment as the soft play is really good here). He mainly goes in the role play and he loves it!!! The role play is always set up so nice when we get there and he loves exploring all the different sections. 
Tumble town is always clean and tidy and the staff are always pleasant.

My little ones loved the role play area, lots of resources in great condition. Brilliant for their imagination. 
The soft play was great too, suitable for my 2yr old and 7yr old to explore together and I could see them easily, so felt safe. Also seemed clean and well maintained. 
The cafe had dairy free oat milk in sachets which was brilliant but could only have that with a standard coffee or tea as the coffee machine only used cows milk. Food seemed expensive for what it is so we didn't get anything to eat as already paid £8 per child and £1 per adult to get in, which seems abit steep for only an hour and a half play, in which 15 mins before you finish they close the role play area to tidy up. 
Down side, only one staff member had a smile on her face, she was signing people in and serving in the cafe, she was friendly and happy. However the rest looked miserable! No smiles, looked like they didn't want to be there. When a lady cleared our table I politely said thank you and she didn't even respond just gave me side eye. When people left they looked glad to see them go, we politely said thanks bye and no response. Quite rude tbh. Last thing the music was way to loud, know that sounds silly but when your trying to talk or get your child's attention you can't hear anything over the music.

This place is so good for young children, most soft plays cater more for older children, this is the only one we have found that little kids can enjoy without the worry of being squashed by the bigger ones.  My 2 year old didn’t want to leave!  Will deffo be returning!

Overpriced for what it is, even with the role play.. fair enough it's been refurbished but it's still alot. I was questioned how old my baby was when I walked in having already payed over 10 pounds for 1 toddler and 1 adult, my baby wasn't going in the soft play, if she was I'd have paid for her but the woman asking me was very suspicious as to whether she'd be using the soft play (she's 6 months old) 😔  it's cold in there, the food isn't great, the hot drinks aren't hot and the music is either too loud or not on at all, don't think I'll bother again

The boy( 2 and 4) love the accessibility of it, they are able to access all the the role play and soft play with zero adult help and they love the independence. However, from an adults point of view, the timings are awkward with only three sessions a day, the prices of the sessions and food and drinks are extortionate both of these being factors in not coming as often as we used to. You are looking around £35 for the session drinks and a pack of crisps for the children. Unfortunately, if you don't use bank cards and prefer cash you have to risk turning up and having space as they won't reserve places and you can only book online.

The play area itself is great. 
However, even as stated that only food & drink that is purchased there can be consumed, I was still miffed that a member of staff approached my 3 year old who has speech delay & ordered him to stop eating a snack that he’d just opened (typical behaviour from a 3 yr old) to which he didn’t know how to respond. No consideration of my child’s needs and dietary needs. 
Please consider this when you are dealing with such young children & approach parents too.

We attend Tumbletown weekly with Erin (almost two years old). We always book for Soft Play and Role Play. The annoyance is that other Parents use the Role Play Area without paying the required fee for a wristband for their child. Consequently filling up the Role Play area reducing the enjoyment of paying children. This offence is not monitored by the staff. It needs to be ! A simple check for wristbands by the staff is all that is needed. With non paying children's parents asked to pay the fee or leave the Role Play area. Simple and effective.

Inside is lovely since refurbished and little one enjoyed role play HOWEVER I paid extra for soft play and role play and was given a wrist band to show that my child could go between soft play and role play yet there was lots of children in role play that did not have a wrist band and no one was monitoring this. I could of saved myself money and just let my child in to role play like everyone else did. ALSO, i think its on the more expensive side to say you only get 1.5hrs there and HAVE to leave the building after your slot cant even stay for lunch unless you book on to another slot unlike a lot of other cheaper soft play where you can stay as long as you like. When you think places like wheelgate are as cheap as £10 for all day in the week and tumbletown are charging £9.50 for 1.5hrs of play. Unlikely to go again.

My children and I came here with some friends and their children for the first time.I can honestly say we all had a brilliant time even the mums as your coffee was very nice. The kids had the option of soft play or role play they kept themselves busy so the mums can relax. Great place we will be nack in a few weeks.

It was my first visit with my son. The facilities are great. He really enjoyed the slides in particular. I might visit again when it is not half term as there were so many children, it was quite overwhelming for my toddler. 
There were a few children who were not under 18 months in this area and were playing quite roughly which meant the babies and toddlers had little space to feel comfortable. Of course, you would expect a little rough and tumble as it is such a fun environment for children so I didn’t take my eyes off my son the entire time, even then, he was hit twice by two different children. The role play area is particularly good fun and he liked the supermarket area and pushing the trolley around.

My son really enjoyed his visit to Tumble Town, particularly the role play section. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food and drink were nice enough 🙂  I’d say the tables are a bit too crammed together and it felt very busy, but we did visit in half term when the weather wasn’t great, so to be expected really. £8.50 to use both areas plus a adult charge is a bit cheeky in these times.

It was freezing cold in there!

My kids food (toast and milk) took 20 mins to come ,she's 2 and impatient  so that didn't go down too well.
Will return but trust you will take this feedback on board.

The soft play is great for younger independent children. However, it was pretty cold in there. So much so that there was a staff member clearly shivering! I had to keep my coat on the whole time. 
The role play area is fantastic, lots of selection and my child loved it. However they closed this much earlier than advertised, so once my child had finished their food, they couldn't go back in! 
Talking about the food. don't waste your money! It was awful. The chips are anaemic and could do with alot longer in the oven. The tuna and cheese panini was VILE! I also think they must have ran out of cheese as it was super dry (alongside the 'fresh' (dry) salad. Tea however, very nice.

To top it off, there was no soap in the toilet.

It has  a lot going for it but they are just not getting it right. When you are paying over the odds to enter (why are we still paying for adults?) these things should be in place.

On top of that it is frustrating when you pay for role play and then others who don't pay just walk into the role play section and play. This happens every time and only once have I seen a employee come into the role play section to check if people have paid.

My daughter had a great time at Tumble town. It was very quiet on the day we were there so not too busy. The equipment was all clean and safe. The service and food were great. The only negative thing was that it was quite cold in the building. I didn't mind this in the soft play as we were moving around but it could do with being a bit warmer in the role play area.

Visited 22/01 as weather was rubbish and needed to entertain granddaughter who really enjoys the soft play. less than a dozen children inside so plenty of opportunity to enjoy things and was able to park outside. Only crticism is that it always seems cold in the room, not that it bothers the children when theyre running around. Good choice of snacks and drinks available.

The Role Play area can only accommodate 20 children comfortably. Although this is open this  to all children from 18 months to 8 years it can get crowded during busy periods

The whole place was clean and the children’s toilet were great to see, as my daughter was able to do everything independently as she could reach it all. Have been coming to tumble town for years, but it is much cleaner and brighter than it ever has been before. It isn't expensive to get in (my daughter is under 18 months)

Took my 3 year old and 9 month old. Really good value for money for the two hours with role play and soft play. Enough to entertain both. Only thing was all the building blocks were zipped open so had to make sure youngest didn't touch in the inside foam and no lock on toilet door. The place has such good potential however a couple of things really concerned me and I would not want to take my children here again. The place was freezing cold with limited heating, children were shivering including mine. Twice I have been here now and the first time I assumed it was down to a heating fault, however returning again it was worse than last time. Staff were not very friendly at all.

Been twice within the last month and it’s safe to say we will not be returning. The place itself is way too cold, my daughter was shivering. Same when using the water to wash hands - ice cold. As for the staff, was made to feel both times like we were being watched and made to feel very uncomfortable. I have now received a refund for the last time we visited but we definitely will not be returning. It is a shame because the soft play and role play itself are great.
